Ebenezer Hall's Relations

Compiled from his Will and other sources

People named in red are named in the will or are the spouses of persons so named. Ebenezer appears to have made provision for all his siblings or their descendants living in September 1905 when he made his will. Three of his brothers who predeceased him left no descendants : Daniel and David died young and never married, Job left a widow but no children.

Notes:

• Ebenezer's sister Ann appears to have had an illegitimate daughter, Hannah Hall, who married Isaac Allsop. Hannah was not named in the will; it is not know whether she or her husband were still alive in 1905.
• Ebenezer states 'Amy Hall (the Widow of my deceased Brother Stephen Hall) who has gone through the ceremony of marriage with my said Brother Benjamin Hall' in order to make provision for her and her children [by Stephen]. At that time a marriage with a deceased brother's widow was invalid, hence Ebenezer's careful choice of words.
